Welcome to Sarge Custom Rods. Throughout these Terms, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sarge Custom Rods LLC.

By accessing our website, purchasing products, subscribing to SMS communications, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and all policies referenced herein.

Products & Craftsmanship

Every Sarge rod is built individually by hand in China, Texas using proprietary SGT blanks designed specifically for Sarge Custom Rods.

Because each rod is handcrafted:

  • Slight cosmetic variations may occur

  • Wrap colors may appear differently depending on screens or lighting

  • Performance characteristics may vary depending on reel setup, line selection, lure weight, casting style, and fishing conditions

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time without notice.

Orders

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

Because rods enter production quickly, cancellation or modification requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase.

Once production has begun, orders are considered final sale.

Pricing

Prices are subject to change without notice. Posted prices do not include applicable taxes or shipping charges unless otherwise stated.

Shipping & Lead Times

Every Sarge Rod is built to order in China, Texas.

Because each rod is individually assembled, wrapped, epoxied, and personalized by hand, current lead times are typically between 6–10 weeks depending on order volume, customization complexity, component availability, and seasonal demand.

Lead times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

What Happens After Ordering

Once your order is placed:

  1. Your blank and components are allocated

  2. Your rod is assembled and spine-checked

  3. Guides are wrapped and epoxied

  4. Personalization is completed

  5. Final inspection and packaging occur before shipment

Shipping Methods

All rods are shipped in protective rod tubes to help prevent transit damage.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and carrier availability.

Customers will receive tracking information once their order ships.

International Shipping

International shipping is available. Customers are responsible for:

  • Customs fees

  • Duties

  • Import taxes

  • Country-specific restrictions

Sarge Custom Rods is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing or international carriers.

Shipping Damage

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Retain all packaging materials

  • Provide photos of the packaging and damage

Damage claims submitted outside the reporting window may not qualify for carrier claims assistance.

Delays

Lead times may increase during:

  • Major sales

  • Holiday periods

  • Tournament season

  • Severe weather events

  • High custom order volume

We appreciate your patience. Sarge Rods are not mass-produced inventory products — every build is made specifically for the customer who ordered it.

Return & Refund Policy

Because every Sarge rod is custom-built to order, most orders are considered final sale.

Custom Orders

Orders that include:

  • Custom wrap selections

  • Personalized names

  • Engraving

  • Special-order components

  • Custom decals

cannot be refunded once production begins.

Order Modifications & Cancellations

Customers must request changes or cancellations within 24 hours of placing an order.

After production has started, modifications may no longer be possible.

Damaged Shipments

If your product arrives damaged during shipment, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photos.

Warranty Claims

Warranty-related breakage claims are handled separately under our Warranty Policy.

Warranty Policy

At Sarge Custom Rods, every rod is built one-by-one for the angler who ordered it. Because of this, we stand behind our craftsmanship and offer a straightforward replacement policy designed to keep you on the water.

Included Warranty

Every Sarge Rod includes one replacement warranty for the life of the rod.

If a rod failure is determined to be the result of a manufacturing defect in workmanship or materials, the rod will be repaired or replaced at no charge to the customer.

If damage is determined to be caused by misuse, accidents, improper storage, impact damage, normal wear and tear, or user error, replacement rods may still be offered at a reduced replacement cost determined on a case-by-case basis.

Replacement pricing may vary depending on:

  • Rod model

  • Extent of damage

  • Component availability

  • Current production costs

Customers may also be responsible for applicable tax and shipping costs associated with replacement rods.

Warranty Evaluation

All warranty claims are inspected individually. Sarge Custom Rods reserves the right to determine whether damage falls under manufacturing defect, accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Examples of non-warranty damage may include:

  • High sticking

  • Rods stepped on or crushed

  • Damage during transport or improper storage

  • Impact against hard surfaces

  • Improper lure weights or line ratings

  • Unauthorized modifications after delivery

Warranty Process

To begin a warranty claim, customers must contact us with:

  • Name on the order

  • Photos of the damage

  • Description of what occurred

  • Original order information if available

Customers may be responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty evaluations and replacements.

SMS Terms of Service

By opting into SMS communications from Sarge Custom Rods, you agree to receive text messages related to your orders, promotions, and account activity.

Abandoned Checkout Reminders
